Coyotera Beach Costa Rica is a beautiful and wide beach with golden sands and blue waters, located in Salinas Bay, in Guanacaste province.

Coyotera is ideal for swimming, walking along its coast, sunbathe, and relax while enjoying the beautiful and peaceful landscape. However, for those seeking a little more action, across Coyotera beach is Bolaños Island, which can be accessed by boat or kayak. In addition, during the windiest months, Coyotera beach is ideal for the practice of windsurfing and kitesurfing.

Getting to Coyotera Beach in La Cruz, Guanacaste:

From San José

Drive north to Puntarenas and then follow the Pan-American highway towards Liberia. Once in Liberia, continue along the same highway for about 55 km (34 miles), turn left towards El Jobo, continue for 11 km (7 miles) turn right towards El Jobo, Coyotera and Cocos beaches and continue for 2 km (1.2 miles) until you get to Coyotera Beach. This route requires a total of 5 to 6 hours from San José. During the winter months a 4×4 vehicle is required to get to Coyotera Beach.

From Daniel Oduber International Airport (LIR)

Drive northeast towards Liberia. Once in Liberia, continue along the same highway for about 55 km (34 miles), turn left towards El Jobo, continue for 11 km (7 miles) turn right towards El Jobo, Coyotera and Cocos beaches and continue for 2 km (1.3 miles) until you get to Coyotera Beach. During the winter months a 4×4 vehicle is required to get to Coyotera Beach.

By bus

There are no buses that take you to Coyotera Beach, however you can take a bus from the route San José – La Cruz, which takes about 6 hours (Transportes Deldú, +506 2256-9072) and then take another bus from the route La Cruz – Puerto Soley – El Jobo, which takes about 30 minutes, departing 3 times a day. From here you can rent a car and drive or take a taxi to Coyotera beach, which takes about 20 minutes.

Also, you can take a bus from the route San José – Liberia, which takes about 5 hours (Pulmitan, +506 2222-1650), take another bus from the route Liberia – La Cruz (Empresa Arrieta, +506 2665-7530) which takes about 1 hour, and then take another bus from the route La Cruz – Puerto Soley – El Jobo, which takes about 30 minutes, departing 3 times a day. From here you can rent a car and drive or take a taxi to Coyotera beach, which takes about 20 minutes. In both cases, we recommend buying the ticket the day before to ensure your space.

Rajada beach is a beautiful, lonely and small beach, no more than 1km long, with white sands, little slopes and crystal blue waters with gentle waves, surrounded by trees typical of the tropical dry forest lush vegetation, located in Salinas Bay in the Guanacaste province.

Rajada, is a pristine beach, unknown to the majority of Costa Ricans, of great natural wealth, complemented by its beautiful mangrove, estuary, and a large number of flora and fauna, both terrestrial and marine, making it one of the most beautiful beaches in Costa Rica.

There are no buses that get to Blanca beach, however you can take a bus from the route San José – Liberia, which takes about 5 hours (Pulmitan, +506 2222-1650) and then take another bus from the route Liberia – Cuajiniquil (at González García bus terminal) which takes about 1 hour. From Cuajiniquil you can rent a car and drive or take a taxi to Blanca beach, which takes about 2 hours. We recommend buying the ticket the day before to save your space.

You can also take a flight from the Juan Santamaria Airport to the Daniel Oduber airport at Liberia, either with Sansa or Aerobell Airlines every day. From here you can rent a car and drive or take a taxi to Blanca beach, which takes about 3 hours.

Cabuyal Beach is a remote and beautiful white sand beach with crystal clear turquoise waters, surrounded by lush vegetation of tropical dry forest, located about 30 km from the city of Liberia in Guanacaste province. Cabuyal beach has almost intact great natural scenic beauty, as southwest lies the Cabuyal Punta and estuary, and northeast the Cabuyal Hill with rocky headlands.

Thanks to its location, it’s the ideal place for a rest and relaxation vacation, away from everything, where bathing in the sea, walks along the shore or simply relax in the sun, are the favorite activities. In addition, Cabuyal Beach is also a very good choice for nature lovers who wish to camp.

Getting to Cabuyal Beach in Guanacaste:

From San José

Drive north to Puntarenas and then follow the Pan-American highway until you reach Liberia. There, turn right, continue for 8 km (5 miles), turn right at the DO IT Center towards North and follow the road for about 15 km (9 miles), turn left and continue for about 6 km (4 miles) until you reach Cabuyal beach. To get to Cabuyal beach a 4×4 vehicle is required, since the last 6km of road are in poor condition. This route requires a total of 5 to 6 hours from San José.

From Daniel Oduber International Airport (LIR)

Drive south to Santa Cruz for 8 km (5 miles), turn right at the DO IT Center towards North and follow the road for about 15 km (9 miles), turn left and continue for about 6 km (4 miles) until you reach Cabuyal beach. To get to Cabuyal beach a 4×4 vehicle is required, since the last 6km of road are in poor condition.

Virador beach is one of the most beautiful beaches in Costa Rica. It is located in the Gulf of Papagayo in Guanacaste province. It’s a lovely white sand beach with crystal clear and calm turquoise waters that invites visitors to swim or to practice diving or snorkeling, as it is also ideal for sunbathing and relaxing in a beautiful natural and almost intact environment. Virador beach, along with Blanca beach (located on the opposite side and a few meters) form a narrow natural bridge that joins Punta Mala.

Virador beach has many ecotourism options allowing visitors to experience the amazing natural resources and biological diversity of this beautiful area of ​​Guanacaste. Although Virador Beach is located inside the Four Seasons Hotel, it has no facilities or services for visitors.
