La Pita Beach Costa Rica is a small gray-sand beach with blue waters, used as port by several fishermen, ideal for watching spectacular sunsets.
At La Pita you may do some birdwatching, here you can find pelicans, herons and the beautiful Scarlet Macaw (Ara macao), among many others. However, due to its proximity to the mouth of the Tarcoles River, bathing in the area is dangerous, since crocodiles go from the river to the sea.
