Getting to Panama Beach in Guanacaste:<\/strong><\/h2>\n

From San Jos\u00e9<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Drive north to Puntarenas and then follow the Pan-American highway until you reach Liberia. There, turn right, continue for 8 km (5 miles), turn right at the DO IT Center to Papagayo or Panama beach and continue for 9 km (5.5 miles) more, until you reach the entrance to Panama Beach. This route requires a total of 5 to 6 hours from San Jos\u00e9.<\/p>\n

From Daniel Oduber International Airport (LIR)<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Drive south to Santa Cruz for 8 km (5 miles), turn right at the DO IT Center to Papagayo or Panama beach and continue for 9 km (5.5 miles) more, until you reach the entrance to Panama Beach.<\/p>\n

By bus<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Take a bus from the route San Jos\u00e9 – Hermosa beach \/ Panama beach, which takes about 6 hours (Tralapa, +506 2221-7202<\/a>, +506 2680-0392<\/a>); or you can also take a bus from the route Liberia – Hermosa beach \/ Panama beach, which takes about 1 hour (Transportes La Pampa, +506 2665-5891<\/a>). We recommend buying the ticket the day before to ensure your space.<\/p>\n

By plane<\/strong><\/h2>\n

You can also take a flight from the Juan Santamaria Airport to the Daniel Oduber airport at Liberia, either with Sansa or Aerobell Airlines<\/a> every day. From here you can rent a car and drive or take a taxi to Panama beach, which takes about 15 minutes.<\/p>\n
