Getting to The Springs Resort and Spa at Arenal:
There are different routes that you can choose from to get to The Springs Resort and Spa.
Directions for the San Ramon way: From the Juan Santamaría Airport, take the Pan-American Highway north, towards San Ramón. Continue straight through San Ramón to a dead end and turn left. At the next traffic light turn right. The San Ramón Hospital is at this intersection. Continue on this road out of town and through the scenic hillsides until you reach a booth at the small town of Bajo Rodríguez. Take the road to the right. This road will take you to the town of Santa Clara. Here, after two bridges, you will need to take a left at the intersection of the soccer field and continue to La Fortuna for about 40 minutes. Continue through La Fortuna; pass the soccer field and the church out of town towards the volcano. Approximately 10 minutes from La Fortuna, you will see the sign to The Springs Resort and Spa, take a right here and follow the signs to the resort. This route requires a total of 3 to 3 1/2 hours from San Jose, depending on traffic.
Directions for the Naranjo route: From the Juan Santamaría Airport, take the Pan-American Highway north, towards Naranjo. Continue straight through Naranjo towards Zarcero. Continue on this road out of town and through the scenic hillsides until you reach Ciudad Quesada. Continue on this road following the signs to the Arenal Volcano or La Fortuna, passing through the towns of Florencia and Santa Clara. Here, after two bridges, you will need to take a left at the intersection of the soccer field and continue to La Fortuna for about 40 minutes. Continue through La Fortuna; pass the soccer field and the church out of town towards the volcano. Approximately 10 minutes from La Fortuna, you will see the sign to The Springs Resort and Spa, take a right and follow the signs to the resort. This route requires a total of 3 to 3 1/2 hours from San Jose, depending on traffic.
Directions for the Tilaran way: From the Daniel Oduber Airport, take the Pan-American Highway towards San José (South) and continue to the town of Cañas. Turn left before the Bull Fighting Ring following the sign that says Lago Arenal (Lake Arenal). Continue straight for less than 2 km and take a left at the intersection at the end of the soccer field following the signs for Tilaran. When you arrive to Tilaran veer left at the gas station which you will see on your right and continue straight on this road past the town of Nuevo Arenal, around the lake and over the dam. After the dam you will pass Tabacon Resort and then Montaña de Fuego Hotel. After Montaña de Fuego Hotel you will see the sign to The Springs Resort and Spa. Turn left here and follow the signs to the resort. This route requires a total of 3 to 3 1/2 hours from San Jose, depending on traffic.
The Springs Resort and Spa at Arenal is a 67ha (165 acre) luxury boutique five star hotel set within the northern lowlands of Costa Rica just 12 km from La Fortuna downtown, surrounded by lush tropical gardens, cascading waterfalls, overlooking the Arenal river valley and with direct panoramic views of north side of the majestic Arenal Volcano and green mountains.

Villa Guayaba: This fully equipped villa has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, full kitchen, heated plunge pool with Jacuzzi jets and cascades, sun deck, hammocks and outdoor dining area. Accommodates four guests, but there’s space for one more with an additional daily charge.
Villa Calatea: This fully equipped villa has two bedrooms, two and one half bathrooms, living room and kitchen with a large refrigerator, microwave and toaster oven, heated plunge pool with Jacuzzi jets and cascades, sun deck, hammocks and an outdoor dining area. Accommodates four guests, but there’s space for one more with an additional daily charge.
Palm Bungalow: This bungalow features 90 m2 (950 sq. ft) of indoor and outdoor living space along with an oversize outdoor Jacuzzi nestled amidst its own private garden with two hammocks and a sundeck with a dining table and lounge chairs. It also boasts a fully stocked wet mini-bar with refrigerator and coffee maker. One of the most popular amenities included with the Palm Bungalow is the use of a four-person golf cart.
Presidential Villa: This villa boasts 195 m2 (2,060 sq. ft) of indoor and outdoor living area surrounded by lush gardens, an incredible lagoon pool with Jacuzzi and waterfall, two sun terraces and three covered loggias. It also has its own wet mini-bar with refrigerator and coffee maker. The living area has a full kitchen, a full bathroom off the exterior walkway, dining table that seats eight, and a sofa and chair set. One of the most popular amenities included with the Presidential Villa is the use of a four-person golf cart.
