La Maremmana Restaurant, opened its doors in June 2007, thanks to the dream of a couple of Italian partners to transmit the real taste of Italian food in Costa Rica. The restaurant is located in San Antonio, Belén, Heredia.

The restaurant’s name is due to the Maremma, an area of Italy that spans the southern part of Tuscany, located across the Tyrrhenian Sea, which extends from the height of the northern province of Grosseto to the southern border with the region of Lazio. The Maremma, was originally inhabited by the Etruscan civilization and successively by the Romans, who were behind the development of agriculture and livestock in a considerable part of the land area, which is why Maremma is one of the few Tuscany jewels with an extensive culinary tradition, in which coastal specialties compete with inland exquisites, always prepared with genuine olive oil and accompanied by its famous wines.
That is why, at La Maremmana Restaurant you can enjoy authentic Italian dishes, among which highlights their delicious pasta, gnocchi, carpaccios, focaccias and desserts, without leaving behind, its unique and delicious pizzas, as their famous La Maremmana pizza made with tomato, mozzarella, arugula and porchetta (thin slices of a savoury, fatty, and moist boneless pork roast of Italian culinary tradition). Furthermore, the La Maremmana restaurant offers to its guests an excellent and fast service in a cozy family atmosphere, take out service and accepts credit cards.
