Tiquicia is a cozy mountain restaurant, located in Varablanca, on the road to Cinchona and just 2 km from La Paz Waterfall in Heredia, Costa Rica. Is a hole dining tradition that began in the 70’s and is now managed by the Mata Herrera family.
It’s interior is an ample space with large windows that reveal a green landscape covered with clouds all year. This cozy restaurant is alluding to the Costa Rican culture and folklore, full of flavor and tradition, and has a large variety of photos, news and antiques on display.
Tiquicia Restaurant offers a wide variety of Costa Rica typical dishes, within highlights their unique “Casados”, a very typical Costa Rican dish consisting of rice, beans, picadillo, salad, plantains and some kind of meat, either steak, chicken or fish. Their famous “chuletón”, its exquisite Olla de Carne (a Costa Rican meat soup with vegetables), not to mention its spectacular “galladas” and assorted dishes, and a wide variety of dishes based on corn, like the famous “chorreadas” and tortillas with cheese.
Tiquicia Restaurant offers various activities to its guests, such as fishing for trout, horseback riding tour and trekking tour in their property. Also, if you are visiting this area, Tiquicia invites you to stay in their equipped cabins. It also has 2 meeting rooms with capacity for 200 people for you to celebrate your marriage, prom or business meeting.
